Application of Slewing Bearing on Thickener

The slewing ring is a slewing platform that supports the main engine and can transmit force and torque. It is often used in cranes, excavators, and uses slewing bearings to bear axial force and overturning moments, while slewing bearings used on thickeners mainly bear very large torques. There are many types of slewing bearing structure, such as single volleyball, cross roller, double volleyball, and three-row column. The slewing ring is mainly composed of rolling elements, inner ring and outer ring. The inner ring and outer ring are respectively fixed with the lower box body and the worm wheel hub by high-strength bolts. The mounting bolts shall meet the standards of GB3098.1 and GB5782, and shall not be lower than the high-strength bolts of 8.8 grade. Use flat washers or nuts with double-sided loose spots and hardened to prevent loosening. The installation bolts need to ensure a certain pre-tightening force, which should be 0.65-0.7 times the yield limit of the bolts. Slewing bearing assembly requirements: check the bolt preload after 100 hours of operation of the equipment, and then check once every 400 hours of operation. Due to structural limitations and site conditions (the thickener is generally not shut down after normal production). We apply anaerobic adhesive to the installation thread of the slewing ring to prevent loosening. This eliminates the need to repeatedly disassemble the box to check the pretension of the slewing bearing. The box body is lubricated with thin oil, which lubricates the gears and the slewing ring. Slewing bearings are also divided into toothed and non-toothed types, and toothed slewing bearings are further divided into internal toothed and external toothed types. Different types and models can be selected according to needs.

The improved thickener drive system eliminates the lower bracket, copper sleeve, self-made thrust bearing, and upper thrust bearing and worm gear in the old structure. The improved center drive thickener has a very simple structure and extremely reliable operation.

(1) Since the slewing bearing is already specialized production, the quality is good, and the price is low, there is no need to make special bearings. The selection on the thickener can reduce the processing volume, speed up the production cycle of the product, and reduce the cost.

(2) The slewing ring operates reliably and is lubricated by thin oil. The accident rate during operation of the thickener is greatly reduced. It also greatly reduces the maintenance cost during the use of the equipment (practice has proved that the service life of the slewing bearing can reach more than ten years under normal conditions).

(3) Due to the complete specifications of the toothed slewing bearing, it can fully meet the needs of center drive thickeners and center well type thickeners below 85 meters. The transmission torque of high-efficiency thickeners can be increased indefinitely, which can meet the needs of different processes demand.

The application of slewing bearing to thickener has the following advantages:
